Maria Bouwsma is a Global Mobility professional with experience across a number of organisations including Shell, Cargill, EY, KPMG, Liberty Global and ASM. Throughout her career, she has worked across advisory and in-house roles, supporting international expansions, leadership relocations, and the design and optimisation of Global Mobility programmes.

She now leads the Global Mobility Advisory at Heart Relocation, where she focuses on helping clients build practical, people-centred Global Mobility solutions that balance compliance, employee experience, and business needs.

Maria is passionate about keeping the relocation experience human. She believes successful programmes are built on collaboration, clarity, and a genuine understanding of what international moves mean for employees and their families.
